The Heritage Village

Beyond the barn stands a village of restored Texas buildings — walk past the church, the schoolhouse, the cabin, and the filling station and step straight into the past.

Step back into Texas history

The Heritage Village gathers a handful of restored buildings from the region's past onto one working farm — the kind of places where Texas families worshipped, learned, lived, and gathered. It's a favorite stop on school field trips and group tours, and a one-of-a-kind backdrop for the events we host.

What's in the Village

Seven restored landmarks, each with its own story.

A restored 19th-century country church — Zion Lutheran — still used today for ceremonies and gatherings.

One-Room Schoolhouse

The kind of one-room school where generations of Texas children learned their lessons.

Log Cabin

An early settler's log cabin, built the way Texas homesteads first went up on the land.

General Merchandise Store

An old-time general store stocked the way a Texas farming community once shopped.

Justice of the Peace Office

The little office where local law and order was kept in the early days.

Vintage Filling Station

A throwback roadside filling station from the early days of the Texas highway.

Texas Ranger Station

A restored Texas Ranger station — one of the Village's biggest draws for visitors and history lovers.
